About the 606-1 revolver release: First pressing, August 5, 1966. “Remix 11” mispressing. Side 2 matrix no.: XEX 606-1 have “Remix 11” of “Tomorrow Never Knows”. When “Revolver” was initially mixed a different master for “Tomorrow Never Knows” was sent off to be pressed. This mix is known as ‘Remix 11’. Although subtle, it is different to the standard ‘Remix 8’ which was ultimately to replace it. The story goes that each group member was given the first copies from the production line and John went to listen to it. But, it turned out that he was unhappy with the mix or that the wrong one had been used and he informed George Martin. Production was then stopped as the new masters were cut and the pressing plates were replaced. First presses have a side 2 matrix number of XEX 606-1 whereas the standard presses have XEX 606-2 and beyond.

ABOUT THIS COPY:
THIS IS A FANTASTIC , EARLIEST POSSIBLE , EXAMPLE OF MONO REVOLVER. ALL IN VERY GOOD WORKING ORDER...
The original mono laminated sleeve is in very good order; no rips or major staining; no pen marks/names. A bit of creasing on edges on front and top of flipback on rear - really great condition overall. Lovely readable spine (see photos)
Original plain 'patents applied for/made in great britain' , correct for the release (see Beatlescollection)  - is in excellent condition, very light discolouring and a couple of creases, no tears.
Labels both sides have centre squiggles from past use, no tears of pen marks . KT side one
The vinyl isn't perfect visually, it has obviously been played a fair bit; there are many surface lines on both sides (I have tried to capture a few in photos).  There are no feelable scratches , deep standout scuffs/marks, so it is still very good for its age
The wear and tear causes a bit of background crackle; nothing overpowering, and it still sounds great - the clip of Eleanor Rigby gives a fair idea... no jumps or loud clicks!
PLEASE VIEW ALL THE PHOTOS AND THE CLIP OF ER - SOUNDS GREAT! LOW START ON A 10-DAY AUCTION , NO RESERVE...OR A VERY APPEALING BUY IT NOW PRICE , UNDER 150, BEFORE BIDS START...PERHAPS...???
