Description
For sale is The Beatles' Revolver, originally released in 1966 on Capitol Records and reissued in 1971 by Apple/Capitol with Capitol Records logo on the cover and the Apple label with "MFD. by Apple Records, Inc." on the bottom . In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched the matrix numbers H-21 #2/F-19 #3, followed by what appears to be a tipped over martini glass. This "glass" actually represents a Winchester rifle. These etchings indicates that an early stamper was used to make this record and was pressed at Capitol's Winchester, Virginia plant. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering that produce superior sound, sought after by collectors and music lovers throughout the world. I bought this used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17, then immediately put the record into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. There is no original inner sleeve with this listing. The cover is graded as Excellent because of the start of some small tearing along the spine and along the opening on the back cover. The spine has a little color loss from this tearing. The vinyl is visually graded as VG+ because of faint sleeve marks and surface scratches. It's play-graded as as Near Mint. This is one of the best copies of this album that I have seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find one in this condition. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection.
