Description

No need to get into the significance of this Beatles record except to say that, yes, there was such a thing as substance in popular music at one time. The copy of 'Revolver' on offer here is a 1st UK Stereo pressing with 'Dr. Robert' printed at the back of the sleeve but with the "proper" spelling (Doctor Robert) on the Side 2 label.  It is a fairly early pressing with a bold and detailed audio to match. As most of you probably know, an Excellent to Near Mint graded copy of this particular pressing can fetch a significant amount ($300.00 to $700.00++) This being said, my asking price  for this  slightly flawed example is more than fair.

Condition of Lp Jacket: Excellent(-) ....when looked at straight on, the front cover looks nearly perfect with only some inoffensive laminate wrinkles here and there. The back is also fairly well preserved with the only real flaw being a barely noticeable 1cm tear at the upper left region. All 3 flipbacks are in good order.  Printed by Garrod & Lofthouse, this is a very nice example of this usually well worn cover.

Condition of Record: VG(-) to VG(+)...in fact, there are no skips, no sticking...and barely any ticks or pops. The grade is due to varying degrees of surface noise that is heard.   Some songs play well above the grade of VG-.  'Taxman' for instance, grades VG++ to Excellent.  Visually, one can see various marks and hairlines. But due to the high quality of these early yellow & black label Parlophone pressings, they don't interfere with the timeless music on this album. The weight of the record feels  substantial....probably between 145g to 165g.
