Description
I am selling many BEATLES LPs (duplicates) from my collection. So, please check my other auctions.
IN THIS AUCTION:
· “REVOLVER” by the Beatles
· This LP is Capitol Records ST - 2576.
· This is a STEREO Pressing.
· This LP was issued in 1966.
· This LP is a SECOND STEREO PRESSING ON THE ORIGINAL BLACK CAPITOL WITH COLORBAND LABEL. This is confirmed by the label without “subsidiary” in the perimeter printing. This pressing credits the songs to “John Lennon-Paul McCartney”. First run labels credit the songs to “Lennon-McCartney”.
· The COVER is a Capitol-marked cover and the cover cardboard construction with the front cover slick overlapping the rear slick is the correct cover to go with this 1966 pressing. The cover has the number “4” printed at lower right of the rear cover which indicates this to be a cover issued with vinyl pressed at Capitol’s Jacksonville, IL plant.
· This COVER contains the CORRECT vinyl pressing. The vinyl has an “O” etched in the trail-off. This is the pressing mark for Capitol Records’ Jacksonville, IL. plant.
· NOTE: Some sellers will switch vinyl and covers either intentionally or accidentally to achieve higher graded vinyl or cover but end up with them mismatched. I don’t do that. If it’s mismatched, I will tell you. This is the correct cover and vinyl for this pressing/issue.
· The COVER is graded STRONG VG CONDITION. The front slick is nice, clean and bright with very minimal wear on it, but more wear on the dark rear slick that was more prone to showing wear. The spine has cracking but no paper missing. There is wear on the top seam, but not the bottom seam. The top seam has a nicely repaired 2-inch seam split at the opening. There is a tiny corner push at the bottom right corner (check images).
· The VINYL is NEAR MINT. The side 1 label is lightly printed compared to the side 2 label.
· This LP comes with its CORRECT ORIGINAL CAPITOL INNER SLEEVE.
· A VERY NICE 1966 STEREO PRESSING of this BEATLES’ LANDMARK LP to add to your vinyl collection!
