Vinyl Audio Grade & Date of Playtest: Excellent Minus (Extremely Sharp and clear sound, very minimal crackle throughout the main tracks, very minimal background noise in between tracks, no skips no jumps no sticking, no loud pops or clicks. If there are any pops or clicks they are quiet and hardly noticeable and quite rare. Excellent Minus sound quality) (Playtested 2nd February 2007)

Vinyl Visual Grade: Very Good (Looks very well played on both sides, there are quite a number of light superficial surface marks covering the record but they are not overpowering and are quite scare, there are also 4 or 5 light feelable scratches on the record but these do not affect playback in any significant way, quite a lot of spindle marks on the label which does indicate numerous plays and there is also slight wear around the spindle hole on side 1 and 2, no major tears to the label though)

Album Cover Grade: Excellent (no major creasing to the front corners, no major creasing to the rear corners apart from a slight bottom left corner crease on the rear, no spine splits, no top or bottom edge splits, no rips or tears in the sleeve, a clearly legible spine, no serious rubbing/wear of any significance to the spine or the edges, only very slight corner rubbing, some ringwear on the front and back that is noticeable, no laminate lifting or laminate peeling that is serious, there is no pen marks/writing on the sleeve either, reasonably clean on the unlaminated rear sleeve with only slight discolouration and staining, overall a nice sleeve)

All records are graded in complete honesty and with the utmost scrutiny. All records listed have been playtested by me and will not jump, stick, or skip in any way. I have been collecting records now for approximately 12 years and have amassed quite a collection and have decided now is the time to reduce the collection in size. The quality of items listed generally varies but most of the time will be in Excellent condition or thereabouts. If it higher or lower than Excellent then it will be mentioned in full detail in the grading section above. Most of the records that will be listed will be from the 1950's, 1960's and early 1970s. The genre's will vary from prog rock, soul, reggae, rock n roll, beat, pop, psych. I will not be offering any classical records for sale though. I have some huge rarities in my collection and all will be up for sale at some point in the next year or so. MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
