In this auction is a VERY UNCOMMON LP:

• “REVOLVER” LP by The Beatles

• This LP was issued by Capitol Records.

• This pressing is QUITE SPECIAL! This is the CAPITOL RECORD CLUB PRESSING of this LP title.

• It was issued in 1969.

• This CAPITOL RECORD CLUB PRESSING has its own special catalog number with an “8” preceding the original LP catalog number. This LP’s catalog number is ST 8 – 2576.

• The Beatles’ CAPITOL RECORD CLUB PRESSINGS have become VERY SOUGHT AFTER for their RARITY due to the very limited quantities pressed. You had to be a member of the Capitol Record Club to originally order this LP from the record club and have it shipped to you!! You could not walk into a record store in 1969, find it and purchase it off the rack.

• The VINYL RECORD has the Capitol Record Club catalog number ST8 – 2576 printed on both labels. Also “MANUFACTURED UNDER LICENSE FROM CAPITOL RECORDS INC...” is in the perimeter printing on the labels.

• And this Record Club vinyl also comes with its SPECIALLY-MARKED RECORD CLUB COVER!! The RECORD CLUB COVER in this auction has ST 8-2576 printed on the rear cover at top right and on the lower portion of the spine. The 3 black “hash-marks” on the top left seam also identify this as a Capitol Record Club cover.

• There were two Capitol Record Club pressings (both with catalog number ST 8 – 2576) of this LP title. The first one, like the LP in this auction, was issued with black labels and colorbands in 1969. The second one had green labels and was issued 1969 to 1971. (The 1969 Black Labels with Colorbands Record Club issue has a much higher value than the green label Record Club issue.)

• The COVER is in VG CONDITION. The images on the front and rear covers are nice and clean with overall light to moderate wear. There is moderate cracking and flaking on the top and bottom seams leaving several small “bald” spots, but NO SEAM SPLITS. There is also NO RING WEAR. The bottom left and bottom right corners are “bald” on their edges. A sticker was wrapped over the top left corner, front to back. On the front, it’s removal caused a small tear on John’s face at the top left corner and black border, and on the rear, the black area at the top right corner beside the 3 white “hash marks” where these formerly black areas have been inked in. (Please refer to the Images.)

• The VINYL is in NICE VG Condition. There are just some very light surface hairlines/scuffs, none “feel-able”.
