Description
This is a difficult one to determine the exact pressing. Please examine the photos very well. Here's what I know about this one.
First: it's absolutely beautiful, and I don't say that nor do I grade them NM unless they are the most exceptional. The jacket has nearly no imperfections. A couple of tiny beginnings of creases near the center of the top edge and one in the spine. The spine reads perfectly. The jacket cover is a high gloss and still very shiny. Very faint scuff marks on the cover. Very little to no discoloration or smudging on the back cover. Please see the photos to see exactly what the bottom corner says, but this is a "Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd." printing. Rounded corners on the back flaps.
Second: The inner sleeve is the original audiophile quality, poly lined "Emitex" brand company sleeve. The paper is lightly warped and wavy. Some of the edges of the seams are a little bent or lightly torn. Very light discoloration and a small tear at the edge of the center hole on the second side.
Third: The vinyl is awesome. I have never seen a Rubber Soul in this good condition. Plays beautifully. I can't verify that this is a "loud cut" variant, but it kicks for sure! The labels are a silver and yellow print with sans serif text. Side 1 has KT tax code embossed in the center ring. No visible markings or scratches. The matrix numbers are misaligned with the publish date. The reason I question which year of pressing this is is because of the runout. I cannot verify these exact runout numbers through Discogs. Side 1 Reads "2 xex 579-5 GM" this is the best I can do to read these. I think the pictures I took verify this. Side 2 Reads "1 xex-580-5 G"
