Original UK Mono Pressing
Sans Serif Font Labels
1966 Final Mono Recut! Arguably the best sounding pressing of the album to date.
PARLOPHONE PMC 1267: MATRIX NOs XEX 579-5/XEX 580-5
Stampers (Side 1 / 2):
1 GH / 1 AD
Fairly low stampers indicate this is quite an early copy of the recut!
Vinyl: Very Good
The vinyl does bear some surface marks and scuffs across both sides and the surfaces look like they've been seen a bit of bag rash, but overall there's nothing too concerning to it and the record still plays through nicely from beginning to end and with good sound throughout. There is some surface noise in places, some audible crackle and some ticks / pops with some of the marks too, but again nothing too major or anything that'd hugely spoil the audio experience. It's a good example of the stunning -5 recut and the sound quality of this cutting always brings a smile! It's not a perfect copy by any means, but it's still a very playable one.
Cover: Very Good / Very Good +
The original Garrod & Lofthouse Flipback cover does show some signs of wear and storage over the years but overall it's in a very strong condition that closely borders between two grades. The front panel looks nice and has a good shine to it with only the smallest signs of ring wear and the odd small thumbnail mark in the laminate. The spine looks excellent with perfectly clear text and no nasty splits to speak of. The rear panel does show a few light signs of dirt and some age related wear but nothing too major and the openings only have light wear to them. It's clearly been stored, used and handled but quite carefully at that. It's looking great for how old it is!
Unfortunately the original inner sleeve is no longer present and has been replaced with an anti-static archival inner sleeve for free!
