Description
Rubber Soul on the UK Parlophone label from 1965. Matrix -1/-1. Stampers 1L/2AG. This is the first issue of Rubber Soul and is often referred to as the 'Loud Cut'. The LP comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover and the original Emitex inner sleeve is also present. 100% original & 100% complete and in outstanding condition too.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) This LP has only seen moderate use and still retains much of its original shine. Under close inspection there are one or two light marks, but nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback with one exception...'Michelle' suffers a little bit being on the inside track [which is a common problem] - there's some light crackle audible in the background. But other than that there's little interference to speak of for the rest of the LP. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity and a beautiful wide sound stage...So, not just a sought after record but one that plays to a high standard too. [please note the labels have been initialed - but you have to look close to notice].
Cover (Ex) Again, has clearly been looked after down the years. The front is nice and shiny and the rear does not seem to be be afflicted by ageing as is commonly found. There's very little edge wear to speak of and the spine is immaculate. Overall the cover still has really good rigidity and this is a great example of an early vintage cover.
Inner (Ex+) Avolutely incredible. No splits or marksings...not even any ageing...!
