Description
Rubber Soul is the sixth studio album by the Beatles. It was released on 3 December 1965 in the United Kingdom, on EMI’s Parlophone label, accompanied by the non-album double A-side single “Day Tripper“ / “We Can Work It Out”. Rubber Soul met with a highly favourable critical response and topped charts in Britain and the United States for several weeks. The record features some of the Beatles’ loveliest songs, including the gorgeous ballads “Norwegian Wood”, “Michelle” and “In My Life”. It’s a real object lesson in the craft of songwriting.
This copy is a first pressing, mono. The jacket is laminated on the front and on the right, upper and lower rounded flaps that wrap around to the back side. The printer's name - E.J. Day. - appears on the right portion of the lower flap. In the cover photo, there is a loose thread on right shoulder of John's jacket, which was airbrushed out on most covers in the U.K., making this quite rare (see picture). The record is in fairly good condition - no deep scratches. The back cover has some writing in biro on the top rounded flap (as shown).
