Description
The Beatles- Rubber Soul. First (1st) Mono Pressing.
This record has been identified as an early 1st pressing from 1965 by the following details:
Flipback "Patent Pending" Garrid & Lofthouse Ltd. sleeve.
"Sold In UK" below the Yellow Parlophone label (centre).
"The Gramaphone Co. Ltd." text around the rim.
KT tax code on side 2.
Early matrix numbers/mothers.
Grading
The Sleeve has been graded as VG (+). There are some signs of the lamination just starting to peel at the opening of the sleeve, and there are a few small creases on the reverse. Apart from this there are no rips or tears, and shelfwear is minimal. Some small signs of edgewear.
The record is in VG condition. There are several surface marks across both sides, being perhaps more noticeable on side 2. On side two, there are a few slightly deeper marks that can just be felt to touch. These roughly stretch from track 3 (I'm Looking Through You) to the end of track 5 (Wait). However, playback is NOT hindered to a great level- there is perhaps slightly more surface noise on "Nowhere Man".
MATRIX: XEX 579-1 + XEX 580-1
MOTHER STAMPERS: 5 LD (Side 1) and 5 WH. *Nb the "W" is very difficult to make out, I am aware this is common on these pressings.
