The Beatles Rubber Soul LP Loud Cut 1/1 UK 1st Press [Vg+/Vg+]

Description

An original 1st press of RS on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1/1 - 'the loud cut'. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original G&L mono cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+) In very nice condition despite having seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks per side, and one semi-feelable mark on side 2 - but nothing heavy or sinister. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, VERYGOOD+ level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. By and large a very nice example of this sought after and genuine 1st press. Interference is minor and infrequent. Do expect a few crackles in the odd isolated moment [e.g. In My Life], but nothing remotely invasive. We also detected a couple of pops as 'Looking Through You' closes out. A very competitively priced original 'loud-cut' - don't hang around!
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has been cared for down the years. A very nice clean and shiny front with only a couple of thumbnail creases. The rear seems to have avoided the worst of the ageing that afflicts these covers. Edge wear is mostly light, but there is a one inch section on the bottom edge which has worn-through. The spine is pretty much entirely intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. But no marks or splits.
