Description

An original and genuine very 1st stereo press of RS on UK Parlophone. Matrix 2/2 - 1st cut. Stampers 1GD/1GH . Note that the labels mention the stereo format in large font <STEREO>..these are the 1st copies. Monster heavy pressing. And remember back in '65 stereo was still only just rising up from being the niche format. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo cover with flipbacks showing. We also have an original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side - but nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A clean player in the upbeat numbers, but very adept in those lowkey numbers too. I'm getting some nice cymbal decay too - and the transients are usually the first thing to disappear! Very very life like [impressively so]. At times - - scarily good! A few crackles in one isolated spot per side. Michelle plays very nice and clean - just slightest trace of use. Much better than you typically tend to find. Overall a super player - addictive. Highly recommended.
Cover (Vg+) A beautiful front cover shiny and flat - just a couple of tiny thumbnails. The rear has tanned a touch in the odd spot - but has avoided the worst of the ageing process. Minimal edge wear - just one tiny patch of wear-through in the middle of bottom edge [1c.m.]. The spine is in very good order - just the 'U' of Rubber has been obliterated. Overall given the rarity aspect - very respectable.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. Bag present. No splits.
