Description

An original 2nd MONO press of RS on UK Parlophone from Xmas1965. Matrix 4/4. Lovely solid pressing as you would expect. A really well preserved original - not abused like so many other copies. The vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover. We have the Emitex inner too. So 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) In great condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAREXCELLENT level of playback with deviation in a couple of tracks per side. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Given the vintage - sweet. I'm getting some pretty clean mono feed - and you can hear all the detail well down into the mix. Even the quieter tracks like WOOD, LIFE & NM play well. I'm getting some background in Michelle and occasionally in GIRL. To be frank - this is about average and difficult to avoid entirely. 4-5 ticks during Looking Thru You [no biggy] and a couple of ticks in 'Think For Yourself'. Overall a great rendition and better than what typically surfaces.
Cover (Vg/Vg+) In very tidy condition and has certainly survived the passage of time better than many copies. Nice clean front. The rear has avoided the worst of the usual fading, but some ageing is apparent. Flipbacks are all well preserved and there's little edge wear. The spine is 90% intact with a couple of stress creases. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Some ageing , but no splits.
