Description
This is the original UK 1st pressing of the album "Rubber Soul" by The Beatles on the Parlophone label catologue number PMC 1267.
The outer sleeve is in outstanding condition, retaining full original factory shine. There is light ringmarking but this is light. The front of the sleeve has only a few light creases and one small, light scuff. The back of the sleeve has remained remarkably clean and white. Sleeve manufacturer was Ernest J Day, The spine is exceptionally strong and clearly readable with no damage or storage wear. Corners are in great shape with no noticable damage.
The record is housed in the original EMITEX tracing paper lined inner that has no splits, no writing and only a few light creases
The lables show only a few light spindle marks, indicating this item has not been played frequently. There is no writing or sticker residue on either label. Labels display "Sold In UK" text and have the Gramaphone Company rim and KT tax stamp.
Matrix numbers are: Side 1, XEX 579-1. Side 2, XEX 580-1 indicating a very early pressing. This pressing is more commonly reffered to a the "LOUD MIX" and was quickly replaced with the more common -1 & -4 mix. Both sides of the vinyl retain a full factory sheen and there are NO SCRATCHES, NO SCUFFS and only light handling lines from being slid in and out of the sleeve. Outstanding.
The record plays with crystal clarity with no pops, no sticks, no jumps or repeats, just clear BEATLES music.
This item is high in quality and has been very lovingly cared for over the years. I can confidently grade this as Ex / Ex+.
