I won't lie, visually the vinyl looks terrible. It looks like it's been caught in an explosion and there's a heavy amount of surface wear, scuffing and scratching on both sides. Despite this and above all odds, the record still plays through without skipping or jumping anywhere. There is apparent crackle and the scratches do cause ticking / popping rather often but it still plays through and on lower end equipment, it sounds alright. It's very surprising! Overall I'd grade it as Good because of this, but no higher.
The cover is in Good- condition. Original rarer Mono Ernest J. Day flipback that's holding together okay with some wear to the corners and laminate. There's some yellowing but it holds together well and the spine text is nice and clear. The main demerits with this cover are some yellowing on the back panel, a fair amount of wear near the openings, and unfortunately a missing spot that has been torn away on the front panel.
Unfortunately does not come with it's original inner sleeve. There's a generic poly-lined inner included that protects the surfaces well but the inner bag has come loose.
This copy is not for the discriminating audiophile, but it still does play through nicely and it could be a rare addition for any Beatles collector
