Super Rare UK Mono Pressing w/ Crossover Matrices
"KT" Tax code on Side 1 and TNR font labels
PARLOPHONE PMC 1267 : MATRIX NOs XEX 579 -1/ XEX 580 -4
This LP has the original rare and withdrawn "Loud Cut" -1 matrix on Side 1 but has the corrected -4 matrix on Side 2. These records are very seldom seen as EMI changed their production very quickly
The vinyl plays in a Very Good condition. It has some scratches and scuffs on both sides but plays through without jumps or skips. Please note that there is some loud hiss and crackle on the Side 1 lead-in groove and a few loud ticks / pops in the very first few seconds of "Drive My Car" but otherwise, this LP plays through smoothly and with nothing majorly intrusive, just some small crackle and other things that are expected with age.
The cover is in Very Good- condition. Original Mono Garrod & Lofthouse flipback that's holding together okay with some wear to the corners and laminate. There's some yellowing but it holds together well and the spine text is nice and clear. The main demerits with this cover are some noticeable scratches on the front and back panels, and also some worn spots near the flipbacks. Overall there is definitely better out there but this one still holds together okay and the front panel looks rather nice.
Unfortunately does not come with it's original inner sleeve. There's a generic poly-lined inner included that protects the surfaces well.
This copy is not for the discriminating audiophile, but it still does play through nicely and it could be a rare addition for any Beatles collector
