Description
For sale is a copy of The Beatles sixth studio album, Rubber Soul
This is an original Stereo 4th Pressing produced in 1969which features the sought-after ‘1 box EMI’ black and silver Parlophone labels.
The 4th pressing was only available for a short time between1969 and 1970 and is therefore one of the hardest to find.
Both the record and sleeve are in excellent condition and would be a superb addition to any collection.

Many vinyl records are mis-sold on eBay. There are several details which identify this copy as a true 4th pressing. They are:
- · Front side laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flipback sleeve.
- · Black labels with silver boxed Parlophone logo.
- · EMI printed within a box at the bottom of the label only(1 box).
- · ‘P 1965’ publishers’ year.
- · ‘PCS 3075’ catalogue number.
- · Matrix numbers YEX 178-3 (side 1) and YEX 179-3 (side 2).
I try to take pictures which provide a fair representation of the condition of a record and the sleeve. If interested, please read below for a detailed discussion including an audio description.
I use the Goldmine standard as a reference for grading.
Vinyl: Excellent
The vinyl is in superb visual condition with excellent (close to NM) playback.
The vinyl surface retains the original gloss sheen.
The labels are bright and have virtually no spindle wear.
There are minimal marks to either side.
The audio on both sides is fantastic; crisp and clear with very little background crackle.
A really enjoyable record to listen to.
Sleeve: Excellent
The sleeve looks almost brand new.
The front is very clean and retains the original bright colours.
As the rear is not laminated it is prone to becoming dirty.
This copy is still nice clean with only slight discolouration as well as a couple of small stains.
The corners are sharp and the spine is well defined.
There are no rips, tears or writing present anywhere on the sleeve.
Inner Sleeve: Excellent
The inner sleeve is the original ‘Thinking of a Gift’ EMI inner sleeve.
It is still very white without any significant staining or discolouration.
There is no writing or creasing.
Also included in the sale is an audiophile quality inner sleeve which provides the best possible protection for the record.
This is a great copy of a rare pressing for a true Beatles fan that wants a copy to listen to.
The outer sleeve, vinyl, and inner sleeve are all housed within a premium quality polythene outer sleeve.
The record will be sent within a padded vinyl record mailer and will be sent via an insured courier.
