Background...

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is the eighth studio album by the English rock band the Beatles. Released on 26 May 1967,[nb 1] Sgt. Pepper is regarded by musicologists as an early concept album that advanced the roles of sound composition, extended form, psychedelic imagery, record sleeves, and the producer in popular music. The album had an immediate cross-generational impact and was associated with numerous touchstones of the era's youth culture, such as fashion, drugs, mysticism, and a sense of optimism and empowerment. Critics lauded the album for its innovations in songwriting, production and graphic design, for bridging a cultural divide between popular music and high art, and for reflecting the interests of contemporary youth and the counterculture.

The vinyl has a lovely glossy sheen and sits completely flat with no warping. Nice clean labels and spindle holes. Has some hair lines and a small scuff near side one edge. Light spindle trails.

The outer GATEFOLD displays the much saught after WIDE SPINE! Has age related wear to edges, corners. Crinkles can be seen to the top protective film and has tape to the back side of the cover where a split has been repaired.

The original dark green 'Peter Blake' cutouts outs are EXCELLENT/ NR MINT.

The original red & white 'Fool's Swirl' inner good. Has great colour and the correct patent number - shows a split to one side and tape to the bottom.

OVERALL A RARE FIND TO ADD TO YOUR MUSICAL HISTORY COLLECTION!!!
