STEREO 2ND PRESSING

Extremely rare and sought after SECOND pressing WITHOUT SOLD IN THE UK STATEMENTS.

This stereo copy of Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band is a rare and final pressing on the Yellow and Black label- the key factor being the absence of 'Sold in UK...' statements to both labels, certainly far scarcer than the original pressing however still obviously of the same quality of vinyl- infact perhaps a slight improvement on the audio to that of the first pressing- this one has been looked after extremely well and exhibits fantastic clear and powerful stereo sound.

SUPERB CONDITION.

This ex/nr mint and scarce UK stereo pressing dates from mid 1969 and bears the final version of the iconic yellow and black parlophone label: PMC 7027.

Both labels OMIT the "sold in the uk" text but still have "Gramophone Co Ltd" rims. There is no purchase tax code visible around either centre hole.

 

Housed in a fully laminated inner flipback Garrod and Lofthouse printed stereo gatefold cover with regular width spine.

This rare pair are pristine & unblemished with just literally two or three tiny marks around each centre hole.

Visual: NEAR MINT

Immaculate deep-gloss surfaces which are totally UNMARKED when viewed in strong daylight. Close examination reveals a handful of insignificant wispy paper-type hairlines but no scuffs, scratches or any other such visual blemishes.

Play: NEAR MINT

This copy has been barely played and the sound quality throughout is immaculate. My careful play check at volume found no evidence of any groove/play wear or background noise - even on the delicate 'She's Leaving Home' or the final piano chord fade-out. Every track is free from any ticks, clicks or any other such audible distraction or wear. You won't find a better sounding stereo pressing.

EXCELLENT +

A really top-class example which retains a vivid & completely unworn front panel covered with an unscratched high-gloss laminate with just a single, tiny 'thumbnail' near the opening edge but no other creasing or wear. All corners are free from any bumps or bruises and just a hint of light rubbing to the rear opening edge but others appear untouched. The inside of the gatefold is immaculate and has clearly been barely opened. The rear panel is as vivid & vibrant as the front with just two small 'thumbnails' & a few tiny spine wrinkles but no other signs of wear. The spine is clean & fully laminated & worded although very mildly stressed 

Inner-sleeve

Clean & crisp.  Original circa 1969 EMI advertising inner. Excellent Plus. example with minor storage creasing but no splits or tears.
