'THE BEATLES' SECOND ALBUM' - Rare 1964 German Odeon Label - Stereo
Matrix numbers - YBEX50053-1 and YBEX50054-1
Catalogue number - ZYTOX 5558
The front of the record sleeve is in good condition with nice colour but there is creasing towards the edges, corner wear, and also a visible ring from the record inside. There is no writing on the front.
The back of the sleeve has age discolouration around the edges with the top seam near catalogue number looking a bit dirty, slight marks from the record inside only visible on top right and bottom left corners. There is no writing on back. The original inner sleeve is missing, (I have put the record into another sleeve to protect it a little).
The Odeon red, white and gold disc labels have some light scuff marks. The label on side 2 has a mark on the gold part of the rim, (it may have occurred when printed, but not sure).
The record itself has light to moderate scratches on both sides and one area, between track 1 and 2, again on each side but more defined on side 2, has been warped and has what looks like small pin prick marks on it, I've tried to show this in the photos as clearly as possible, but if you would like extra photos of this, or any other area, please get in touch.
The record was purchased new in Germany in the 60's but it hasn't been played for many, many years (I don't have a record player anymore) so I'm afraid I can't give any information as to the overall sound quality and in particular how the damaged area affects it.
