About This Items
The Beatles Second Album" is the second album edited by Capitol Records in the United States,following "Meet the Beatles". Beginning with this album, Capitol has standardized on recording
songs per album. It was released less than three months after Meet the Beatles.
In addition to the five cover songs from "With the Beatles" that were not included on "Meet the Beatles," this album includes "See Loves You" and "Isle Get You," for which Swan Records (English version) had the release rights, " Thank You Girl," "Long Tall Sally," and "I Call Your Name," which
were unreleased in the U.K. at the time. All songs have echo and reverb applied for the U.S. market.
It replaced "Meet the Beatles" as the #1 album on Billboard magazine's album chart for five consecutive weeks, and eventually spent 55 weeks on the chart. It was #1 on Cashbox magazine for four consecutive weeks.
It sold over 2.05 million copies in the U.S. alone.
The U.S. version was released in 1964.
This Japanese version was released in 1970.
Condition
Jacket is slightly aged and foxed, but the record is amazingly clean. Excellent grade!Included Items
