In this auction: 

·       “THE BEATLES SECOND ALBUM” by the Beatles

·       This LP is Capitol Records T 2080.

·       This is a MONO (Monaural) Pressing.

·       It is the FIRST MONO PRESSING issued April 10, 1964.

·       We know this because First Pressings do NOT have the running times for “I Call Your Name” and “Long Tall Sally” on the Side 2 label.

·       According to Perry Cox, this LP cover was issued from Capitol Records’ Scranton pressing plant based on the number “3” printed on the rear cover at lower right.

·       And the vinyl has a triangle with IAM in the trail-off area which indicates it also is from Capitol’s Scranton Pressing Plant.

·       Therefore, this cover and vinyl are correctly paired with both being from Capitol’s Scranton pressing plant.

·       NOTE: Some sellers may intentionally or accidentally switch vinyl and covers in order to create an LP with near mint cover and vinyl to sell. I don’t do that. I always verify covers and vinyl to be correct pressings/issues.

·       The COVER is in STRONG VG to WEAK VG+ Condition. There is light overall wear and a small corner push at the top right corner. Some light aging (light age spotting) is present on both front and rear of the cover. There are NO seam splits, NO tears, and NO writing on this cover. This primarily white cover was prone to show wear easily, but this MONO COVER looks quite nice despite the aging.  Check the images!

·       The VINYL is in STRONG VG to WEAK VG+ CONDITION with some light surface hairlines/scuffs and lots of gloss. 

·       This LP comes with its ORIGINAL blue Capitol Records inner paper sleeve.

A NICE BEATLES FIRST PRESSING MONO LP to add to your vinyl collection.
