Media (Play Tested): EX. Clean labels and retains a fantastic glossy sheen. Great playing surface on all sides that sounds fabulous with no skips. It sounds great with only no surface noise and a couple of very small pops in the quietest parts. A couple of light surface marks prevent this being NM, even the spindle holes are clean. Low mothers/stampers as you would expect from this pressing.
Sleeve: VG+. Clean front and back and nice clean flip backs. A satisfying squeak when opened, with very little aging. The spine is storage worn unfortunately, along with some laminate lift/creasing (see pictures) but with the all important Fourth Proof signifying this is the earliest possible sleeve, anywhere worldwide. More information below.
The 'Fourth Proof' sleeve is one of the first copies of Sgt. Pepper to have run off of the presses at EMI as just a very small number were made up for final review by the Beatles prior to full scale printing. These were put back into stock and used with the regular sleeves on the first part of the initial run.
Inner Sleeve: NM Original fool inner that looks unused. Supplied with brand new anti-static sleeve.
Insert: EX. Perfectly intact dark green insert with no damage or marks.
Your chance to own this amazing pressing with a true holy grail sleeve. Even if you have SPLHCB already, an excellent graded copy with all inserts and a fourth proof sleeve rarely, if ever, come up for sale. A true final upgrade. I will just say that this is a lovely, package.
