Description
The BEATLES
Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band
Parlophone MONO PMC 7027
W I D E SPINE version (8mm)
With DARKER GREEN cut out insert
And psychedelic RED FLAME inner bag.
Superb vinyl and audio!
Excellent condition overall.
The GATEFOLD COVER with the 8mm wide spine shows some minor edge and corner wear, slight bumps on the top and bottom of the spine. However the lovely wide spine is completely intact and looks good on the record shelf! The inside with flipbacks is clean and unmarked. Some minor laminate creasing on the front and back only makes this an excellent example of an early Pepper mono cover.
The early pressing darker green cut out insert is intact and is also in excellent condition.
The (MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN PATENTS APPLIED FOR) fragile red flame inner bag has 2 seam splits on the bottom and one edge, but is clean and unmarked and has survived the years well. The record is kept in another inner sleeve to protect the original from further use and wear.
The LP itself (XEX 637-1 and 638-1 KT tax embossed) plays in EXCELLENT condition. Both sides are very clean looking with minor surface scratches. Playback has crystal clear mono sound, very few clicks. Quieter parts and in between tracks hardly any interference on the long fade out at the end of side 2 I heard a couple of clicks. The labels show little evidence of playing, clean and excellent. This is a superb platter of vinyl from 1967!
