Description
Sgt. Pepper
I'm selling off half a dozen Beatles albums this week for a friend of mine who is heading for dire straits shortly. He is a collector who keeps his vinyl in spotless condition, and sure enough, all of these albums are amazing beautiful. However, most of the covers have moderate wear.
The cover is completely sturdy with the top and bottom seams intact. There is light to moderate shelf wear on the top and bottom seams. The top seams have lost some lustre from the glossy slick, and the bottom seam has wear, but no damage. The spine has all of its text intact, although it has dulled with time. The front cover shows some wear at the bottom, and the back cover shows wear overall. You'll notice in the photos that there is some dirt to the front cover, top right. Not anymore. It just wiped clean with my finger. The inside gatefold is bold, bright and full-gloss. There is absolutely no wear to the center seam, and no sign of even almost wearing. Very strong presentation of the inner album cover.
Like the White Album photos, the insert with the cut-outs is nearly flawless. There are absolutely NO finger divots and absolutely NO loss of color or gloss. The reverse is snow white. The only flaw is that there is a slight outdent from storage inside the pocket with the album. It is obvious that this insert has not seen the light of day in 49 years. The red inner sleeve is present and in sturdy condition with no splits to any of the seams.
The album is a late first pressing from Scranton, and like the copies of Magical Mystery Tour and the mono Revolver albums I've put up this week, this copy is a final upgrade. The stylus tracks the vinyl's silent grooves silkily and quietly with a few stray static tics between songs. The vinyl shines like a mirror. Even under a bare bulb, all these albums pass that test extremely well. The vinyl has not the first hint of a hairline scratch, and it looks and sounds practically brand new.
Shipping is $4.00 for Media Mail for up to 3 single or double albums, excluding boxed sets. This offer is only good in the United States. Winners in all other countries will be charged actual shipping to their locations, so please wait to be invoiced. You will be quoted for the cheapest shipping to your country that the US post office can afford me. Please let me know if you would prefer to pay for a faster means of shipping, but do NOT ask me to declare packages as gifts, or any other means of defrauding the postal services. Much appreciated.
