Description
Here for auction: PCS 7027. Early EMI UK stereo pressing of "Sgt Pepper" by The Beatles. "Gramophone Company" and "Sold in UK" text on both label's. Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve with flipbacks on top, inside gatefold.Title print on back cover "A little help from my friends" and not "With a little help from my friends".Comes complete with original inner sleeve and cutout insert.

I have checked parts of both sides of the disc for sound quality on a Thorens TD160 super with SME Mk III arm and B&O MMC II cartridge, Roksan Kandy RA Mark III amp and B & W DM 603 floorstander's. I hope this gives a fair representation of the disc's quality in the description below.
Vinyl is in superb NM condition.A very fine disc, still with a lovely shine.Seems clear of any marks,even when viewed up close.There are no kinks or warps and disc lies flat on turntable.
Sound is beautifully clear and undistorted with no repetetive tics in the parts played.Disc play's with lovely silent surfaces ... A fine copy indeed.
Cover is in EX+ condition.Looks great. Not much wrong at all.Just very light general wear. No label's or handwriting.
Label's EX+ Could see only a few light spindle marks and there are no other marks or blemishes at all.
Original red/white paper inner (patents applied for) sleeve is EX.
Cutout Insert is in EX+ condition.
