FREE POSTAGE.
Condition: Very Good / Very Good Plus. I’m not a professional seller or a particularly geeky collector and I know people always try to define precise meanings to record gradings. In my experience many advertisers play fast and loose with their quality descriptions and I’m sure many buyers get very aggressive about their own standards not corresponding with the sellers’. I've referred to the Goldmine grading system for this but it's not an exact science. I buy these Orange Apple pressings primarily for their curiosity value and not as go-to pressings to play. For that I got to my near-mint original UK mono Pepper! That said this is in pretty good nick considering it’s age.
Here’s a brief run-down…
Sleeve: The front has slight ring-wear at top from the record inside. It’s more like a discolouration and nothing like the terrible examples you get on matt pressed US LPs. Although the corners aren’t pin sharp they are in very nice shape with only a little wear and tiny bend at the bottom right tip. On close inspection there’s some evidence that a price label may have been removed causing a subtle discolouration at the top right corner.
The back has a slight ring mark at the top as well and small patches of wear to the print here and there. Nothing horrendous. As I have indicated this is a SINGLE pocket sleeve so doesn’t fold out into that lovely gatefold pic.
The edge is in good shape with tiny wear at the top and bottom tips. It is very thin so not easy to read!
Inner sleeve: All my other Orange Apple pressings have a japanese-style clear polythene bag but this one has a black paper inner with die-cut centre to reveal the label. I have no idea if this is original. I can’t pretend this is in good condition. There’s a couple of tears at the top of one side partly repaired with tape and likewise two repaired tears near the die cut hole on the other. I would just buy a new inner for it.
Labels: These are beautifully clean near-mint condition. The spindle holes show no signs of wear. I reckon it is hardly played.
Disc: The vinyl is unbanded with one or two very slight small scuffs which don’t affect play. The surface is clean, shiny free from visible scratches. There is some crackle on the run-in and between songs and during quieter passages but hey, it’s vintage vinyl and you soon forget!!! :-)

Description: This is rare as hen's teeth!!! In the early 70's New Zealand repressed several Beatles titles (and a couple of solo albums) and used an overstock of George Harrison's ALL THINGS MUST PASS custom orange Apple labels. N.B. It has a NON-GATEFOLD matt finish sleeve. I've been collecting these Orange Apple pressings for years and although some titles come up more frequently "Sgt pepper" almost never surfaces. (Having said that I do have another copy which is why I'm letting this one go!)
General notes: I’m clearing out some vinyl from my collection. I have duplicates of all these LPs and can’t justify the shelf space. They have been kept in a dry smoke-free environment and stored vertically in original shrink wrap/plastic sleeves out of direct sunlight. Where there is an imperfection to the cover I have included a photograph and mentioned it in the description.
