Description
This is a Japanese pressing of The Beatles record Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (UK version). It was issued as #9 in the series on 06/20/1976 by Toshiba EMI LTD on black vinyl. This series was only released on black vinyl. There is a single LP in a gatefold cover with an OBI. There is also a 4 page booklet with photos and the lyrics in English and Japanese and the cutout sheet that are both in mint- condition with no bends or tears. The record is from my personal collection and was initially cleaned on a VPI record vacuum and treated with Last Record preservative. It was recently demagnetized and re-cleaned with an Audio Desk Ultra-sonic record cleaner.
The record was recently play graded using a Lyra Kleos on a VPI Classic IV turntable. The record is in excellent condition with only 2 superficial fingernail scratches on Within You Without You from when I lifted it off the platter one time (does not sound). The record plays very quietly with only 2 light ticks noted on side 1 and 5 noted on side 2. Note that this release does not include the Beatles gibberish at the end of side 2.
The jacket is in mint- condition with no seam splits, bends, or tears. The OBI is also in mint- condition. The inserts are mint- as noted above.
