Description
Here it is....one of the greatest albums of all time, in it's original MONO format. If you're reading this, you know this album, but have you ever heard it in mono, on vinyl?
The Beatles themselves mixed the mono versions of their albums, while studio engineers mixed the stereo versions. So, the mono mixes are the way the Beatles themselves wanted you to hear the album. John Lennon said that the only way to hear Sgt. Pepper is in mono! I couldn't agree more!
The mono mix is fuller, and different, than the stereo version. Lennon's vocals on Lucy In The Sky have a psychedelic effect that is not present in the stereo version. The bass is deeper in all songs, and the vocals are more to the front.
If you're a Beatles fan (and who isn't, really?) you need to hear Sgt. Pepper in mono, on vinyl.
This album will be cleaned using my VPI record vacuum. It will be super clean for you...great vintage sound, without all the vintage dust!
Cover grade- EX. Super clean, still has gloss. Wide spine (an indication of a first pressing). No names or splits. Punch hole in the upper right. One of the nicest covers of Pepper I've ever seen.
Album grade- VG++. Quick bump (not a skip, but a bump) track 1 side 1. There's a mark on the last track of side 1 that does not affect play at all. Very very nice copy.
Inserts: NM. Except for the punch hole, they're perfect.
Matrix:
Side 1- MAS-1-2653-F1 #2. There's a triangle with letters in the deadwax, too
Side 2- MAS-2-2653-G2. Same triangle here too
