Description

The Beatles - Sgt. Peppers - 1967 - Record LP FIRST PRESS MONO - Parlophone. This first mono mix blows me away. I really enjoyed test playing this. This IMO is the mix the Beatles were involved in. At the time they had little interest in the later stereo mix and were only involved in the mono mix.

“First pressings (1967)

The first pressing of Sgt. Pepper's was released in 1967 in both mono and stereo version with catalogue numbers PMC 7027 and PCS 7027 respectively. The records have the standard yellow block writing Parlophone label and the "All rights of the manufacturer" message around the edge of the label starts with "The Gramophone Co. Ltd.". The label displays the "Sold in the U.K." statement.”

The vinyl is in Very good plus condition. Overall right and clean. Plays very good plus. Test played via Ortofon super OM 40.

A small scratch at beginning of track 1 side to that causes some clicks but no skips.

The sleeve is clean and bright. Some minimal creases. No writing. All seems are very good plus. The spine is very clear and readable.

Complete with sheet cut outs in excellent condition.

Matrix and stampers:

Side one XEX 637-1 stampers 6 RPR

Side two XEX 638-1 stampers 6 RLN
