Description
PMC7027 a 1st pressing of Sgt. Pepper on the UK Parlophone lable in Mono. Matrix -1/-1. Stampers 4-ALH/6-MGM. Vinyl Weight - 160gs. Housed in its original Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold cover and includes the original white 'patents applied for' inner.
Vinyl (Ex) The vinyl retains much of its original shine and hasn't been overplayed. Under close inspection there's a couple of light marks neither of which are 'feelable' or sound during playback. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio reproduction is loud with very little interference at all. This is quite unusual particularly for a Pepper and is a treat to listen to. The only hint of interference I could pick up was on 'She's Leaving Home' where a few low-level static crackles were just audible. Once again due to the quality of manufacture, and it being well looked after, this record plays back to a high standard.
Cover (VG+) With a nice and shiney front and rear this cover remains in very good condition. There's a small amount of wear to the top edge, some of the text on the spine is worn away, and there are a few light markings in places. However, putting a few minor imperfections aside this cover still looks and feels like a very decent copy.
Cut-outs are not present.
