Description
A 1969 One EMI Box pressing on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix -1/-1. Stampers 1-GHD/3-GHM. The record comes housed in an original gatefold cover with exposed flipbacks and the text includes 'patents pending' on the rear suggesting it is from the first run. Also included is the original white inner sleeve quoting two patent numbers and 'Made in Great Britain'..... Please note:- there are no cut-outs.
Cover (Ex) Looks to be in great condition - lovely shiny front, back and interior. The quality laminate has protected the cover well and all the colours are vibrant. The cover still retains excellent rigidity with only a couple of light creases visible. The text on the spine is almost entirely intact and there's only very slight signs of edge wear. A really nice example of a vintage cover...
Vinyl (Ex) Again, has been looked after with a great deal of care. Its shiny like new and only looks to have seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection I can't see anything more than a couple of ultra-feint marks. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, Excellent level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are really quiet and the audio comes across with great depth and resolution. There's very little interference at all - maybe one or two very very feint crackles in the occasional place, but we are talking minimal. You will be treated to a fantastic level of sound production. These one boxers are some of the last tube-cut efforts and are often preferred to first issues for the sheer quality of sound reproduction. Again, it's not easy finding one that's survived like this.....
Inner (Vg+) No splits and showing no signs of ageing. Graded down due to an address in biro in the top left hand corner.
