Original 1st US Capitol Records Mono pressing of The Beatles’ “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” released on May 26, 1967. This copy is a very early 1st pressing without the “NEMS” / “MACLEN MUSIC” music publishing credits at the bottom right corner on the back cover. Very early 1st print gatefold cover is in fantastic factory sealed condition with the fully intact factory shrink with original breathe holes on the front and back cover. It's incredibly hard to find this album in such a superb Mint condition. Based on the stickers, this copy was purchased at the Record Happening store owned by the G.C. Murphy Co. This psychedelic style sticker is affixed to the shrink wrap at the top right corner. The top left corner contains an oval yellow sticker reading “This Hi-Fidelity Recording Can Be Played On Any MONAURAL OR STEREO Player”. It’s most likely this is an East Coast copy as the G.C. Murphy chain stores were predominantly located there. Original Capitol Records MAS-2653 (Mono) catalog number black label with a multicolored spectrum ("Rainbow") band along the labels’ edge. Most likely, the vinyl inside contains the very early 1st misprinted version of the black Capitol Records labels, which wrongly identifies the song “With A Little Help From My Friend” as “A Little Help From My Friend” on Side 1. Just like all of the early pressing copies of this issue, this copy contains a full set of extras, including a Capitol Records red & white psychedelic custom paper inner sleeve along with a color cardboard gimmick cut-out insert.
