Description
Selling-up my extensive record collection. My pet copy of Sgt. Pepper, as the record has little damage and sounds very good.
Pictures are my own photos of the items for sale. Photos are part of the description, have a good look.
Cover - Gatefold, laminated inside and outside, flipbacks at top inside. Front - lamination is still very nice. Slightly formed to the shape of the record, with mild ring-wear, just taking the shine off the lamination, in a circle. Two very small scallop creases. Some light indentations near top, where someone has used cover as a writing-block when writing a letter. Short cracks to the lamination, coming in from the spine. Top and bottom edges are very good, but small damages to corners, especially at top of spine. Spins shows wear and the letters "Pepper's Lo" are missing. Back is generally very nice, again with a circle of light ring-wear, with some cracks to lamination, in from the edges. Minor damage / bumps to corners, small bend at top of opening. One noticeable scallop crease to lamination. Inside the gatefold is excellent. Cut-outs card sheet is present, in very good condition. The custom inner sleeve is present, in very good condition, with a few small stains and wear at the opening.
Record - Viewed under normal conditions, playing surface looks excellent, but with one noticeable damage on each side. On first side, a double impact has created two short marks about half-way through the side. These are wider than stylus scratches, perhaps fingernail impacts. These are shallow, not feelable, and just audible in places (around "It's Getting Better" and "Fixing A Hole"). On side two, there is an impact near the end of the side. This is quite short, and can be heard, at the beginning of "A Day In The Life". Closer examination revealed three light scratches along the grooves, and another 2 light scratches. The sound on this record is excellent, everything sounds just as it should. There isn't background crackling - I've been play-testing it on expensive hi-fi, quite loud, which shows-up problems if there are any. One does hear stray light crackles here and there, and it's crackly at the fade-out ending of "Day In The Life".
I have been collecting records for 50 years (when finances allowed!), and now it's time to sell-up. I bought them mostly around local shops (second-hand), but sometimes from e-bay, and sometimes new, for my favourite bands.
When I'm checking for damage on records, I look at them carefully with my reading glasses on, in good daylight. This method detects any bits of damage that will affect what you hear when listening to it - and lots that are not audible. Using a spotlight or direct sunlight shows more surfacey marks sometimes, but I don't do that - records are for listening to, not trying to see your face in. I have had a brief look at this particular record under my twin spotlights, and one does indeed see more surfacey marks.

I don't mail things personally, to countries outside the UK - ( I mean it, don't ask) - but I am happy to use E-Bay UK's Global Shipping Program, for sending things abroad.
Under this scheme, I send the parcel to an e-bay depot in UK, and they forward it to the overseas buyer.
They have a tracked courier service, for the journey from their UK depot, to the buyer.
This means that I can ONLY accept payments through e-bay (Pay Now button), and I can't send invoices. Combined postage may or may not be possible through the Program - if e-bay shows combined postage for their courier job, I'll do combined postage for the transit inside UK. I can't see information about this until you pay.
International buyers should be able to see a postage cost to their country, you may have to input your location, if your country is included in the scheme.

International postage plus applicable customs charges will probably be shown to buyers in the following non-EU countries - E-Bay collects customs duty for the receiving country: Australia, Brazil, Canada, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Russia and USA, and wherever else import duty is appropriate - e.g. Norway.
I WILL DEFINITELY NOT post to countries that are not included in the above lists, and I don't send to China.
