THE BEATLES - 'SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND'
This early U.S. 1st MONO pressing dates from June 1967 release on the black colour-band Capitol label: MAL-2653
The side 1 label mistakenly lists track 2 as; 'A Little Help From My Friends' rather than; 'With A Little Help....'
This copy was pressed at Capitol's Scranton factory in Pennsylvania.
Matrices: MAS 1-2653-F1 #5 &MAS 2-2653-G3 #3
Vinyl weight: 139g
Housed in an earliest-type gatefold mono cover, without reference to 'NEMS' & with 'MAS 2653' in the rear lower right corner.
Complete with its original red & white inner-sleeve & unusued cut-out sheet.
CONDITION
Disc
Labels: MINT
Both are immaculate and unmarked.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Pristine deep-gloss playing surfaces which are unmarked in strong daylight, bearing only some harmless superficial inner-sleeve storage marks and a sparkling rainbow shine beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
Clean, warm & unworn sound quality throughout this exceptional copy. My playcheck detected just a touch of low-level vinyl background in some of the quieter passages, but no clicks, pops or any other distractions.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A superb clean & unworn example which apart from the obvious punch-hole is in outstanding shape. There is no rubbing or ringwear to either the front or rear panels and just slight bruising to the upper corners only.
Both panels inside of the gatefold are immaculate.
All seams & the spine are unstressed, unsplit are totally unworn. It's not NM due only to the punch-hole.
Inner-sleeve: NEAR MINT
Hole punched in one corner.
Cut-out sheet: NEAR MINT
