Description
The Beatles - Sgt Pepper Y/B Mono UK Wide Spine LP
Item: The Beatles - Sgt Peppers Yellow & Black labeled Mono UK Wide Spine LP (thicker than the later sleeve was for the first pressings as the wide spine led to packaging problems because of the thickness) complete with the fool inner and the original dark green cut-out sheet.
Side 1 Stamped in run out grooves: XEX 637-1 and 4 at 9 o'clock and MM at 3 o'clock
Side 2 Stamped in run out grooves: XEX 638-1 and 2 at 9 o'clock and M at 3 o'clock
Vinyl Weight: 137g
Sleeve: Very Good- Has some wear to the edges of the spine (see pictures for reference) but doesn't really detract from the spine and you can clearly read the text. Three creases to the front nothing major. Some light wear to laminate front and back and a little ringwear to the rear.
Record Visually: Good+ Has one deep scratch to side one 0.5cm (see picture) and three other scratches to side one and a one small light scratch to side two nothing that you can feel and the usual light marks. Graded under strong light.
Record Playback: Very Good+ Plays great and the Mono really is the best pressing you get a unique sound. Plays through fine both sides without sticking or jumps including the deep scratch on side one.
Labels: Very Good+ Has spindle marks on both sides otherwise they look to be in good shape.
Inner Sleeve: Very Good- One seam seam split to the bottom 9cm otherwise no rips or tears.
Cut Out Sheet: G Sadly has been cut out and missing the mustache but is the original dark green cut out not a later one.
I use the following grading system: M=Mint, NM=Near Mint, EX=Excellent, VG=Very Good, G= Good, F=Fair, P=Poor B=Bad sometimes with a plus or minus if in slightly better condition.
All records are professionally cleaned in a non-alcohol cleaning solution before sale.
