THE BEATLES - 'SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND'
This U.S. STEREO pressing dates from 1967 release on the black colour-band Capitol label: SMAS-2653
This pressing was manufactured at Capitol's Jacksonville, Illinois and contains a rare version of 'Good Morning, Good Morning'.
The opening 'Good Morning, Good Morning' phrase is missing and at about 18 seconds in the left channel with the backing vocals and horns etc. is muted, returning only during the animal noises at the end of the song.

Housed in a gatefold stereocover, with the 'NEMS' wording but no 'MACLEN' publishing credit.
The original cut-out sheet is present with this copy, but the inner-sleeve is not.

Labels: EXCELLENT
Clean & unworn with just a trace of wear around the side 1 centre hole and a small scrape to the rim on the side 1 label.
Visual: VERY GOOD
Both playing surfaces are clean but do bear a few light surface marks and hairlines consistent with frequent play, but nothing deep or serious looking. Closer inspection beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp does little more than amplify these minor blemishes adding only faint marks from the inner-sleeve.
Sound Quality: VERY GOOD +
This copy has received a moderate amount of play and some light background is audible during the quieter passages, along with an occasional light tick. However, there is no sign of any groove/playwear or any jumps, repeats of other such major faults.
Cover: VERY GOOD
Fully intact but with moderate storage/shelf wear throughout. Both front & rear panels have some storage and general corner wear.
The inside of the gatefod is bright & unworn and there is no writing anywhere.
There is a tiny nick to the upper edge of the rear pocket but all seams are unsplit and the spine wording is clean and fully intact.
