Description
In this auction is 1 original Beatles Picture Sleeve with 1 original Beatles Swan 45 RPM record.
Here are the details:
· “SHE LOVES YOU” b/w “I’LL GET YOU” by The Beatles
· This is Swan Records S-4152.
· The PICTURE SLEEVE IS ORIGINAL, NOT A COPY. THE CONDITION is VG to VG-. This is MOSTLY A FLAT SLEEVE aside from some light disk impression. There is just a hint of ring wear (very slight) on one side of the sleeve. There are NO SEAM SPLITS and NO WRITING. This sleeve would be graded higher were it not for the small tears (no paper missing) on both sides in the center area (where the play hole would be). On one side the small tears are on John Lennon’s arm and shoulder. On the other side the tears are more minimal on John’s and George’s shoulders. Aside from these tears in the center area, the sleeve would be a nice VG+ grade sleeve. Still, as you can see, the sleeve looks nice despite the small center tears present.
· The Picture Sleeve was issued in January of 1964.
· The VINYL is GLOSSY VG CONDITION. There are numerous hairlines/ scuffs but it still has lots of gloss. The labels have quotation marks around the titles, and “MASTERING RECO-ART PHILA” is pressed into the trail-off beside the matrix numbers. “Produced By George Martin” is also printed on both labels.
· The vinyl was issued in 1964.
· IT’S A NICE BEATLES’ PICTURE SLEEVE & RECORD THAT CAN BE A “FILLER COPY” IN YOUR BEATLES’ COLLECTION UNTIL A BETTER ONE COMES ALONG AT THE RIGHT PRICE!!
(Thanks to Perry Cox’s book Price Guide for the Beatles American Records for information about these 2 records and sleeves.)
