The Beatles  "Souvenir Of Their Visit To America"

The songs are : Misery, Taste Of Honey, Ask Me Why, & Anna

This is a US vinyl EP from 1964 on Vee Jay  VJEP-1-903.   It comes in it's original picture cover.    The cover is thick cardboard and full color.      It contains a 7 inch record with 4 songs and it plays at 45  RPM.     This was the first American EP by The Beatles.

The record is VJEP 903.5A in Bruce Spizer's book.   It has the black label with colorband and VJ in brackets.   The record number at the bottom of the label is VJ EP 1-903.    And 'Ask Me Why' is in large print.       The cover is VJEP 903.PS1 in Bruce Spizer's book.

The matrix numbers are : Side One :  barely visible 'audio matrix' and 'ARP', then 64-3915   URT,   and Side Two :  barely visible 'ARP' and 'audio matrix', then 64-3916  URT.

Condition :    Picture Cover : VG+  /  Record : G+

The vinyl looks VG- and it plays G+.     It plays worse than it looks.      On side one there is static before the music and background static and crackles during the music.   It plays with no skips or pops.       On side two there is static before the music starts and pops during 'Ask Me Why'.     It plays through with no skips.   The labels show wear and a light ring.    The picture cover is VG+.     There is no ring wear, no seam splits, and no corner bends.     There is a faint '8' written in pencil just to the right of Ringo's face on the front.     There is very light overall cover wear.

About Me :

I started collecting records in 1966.       I started selling in Goldmine in 1985.          I now sell records at all Northwest record conventions : Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Eugene, Grants Pass, and Canby.     And at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon.     My records are from a no smoking and no pets home.

Packaging :

I take great care during packaging and do each one personally.      I use hand cut cardboard, which I get from a trucking company.   (It's so thick that you will save it and use it again.)      Each piece is 1/2 inch thick and together they are very stronge.       I always remove the record from the picture sleeve and tape them inside a clear plastic record sleeve.      All packages are marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides.

Postage :

You have to pay for the postage.   So,  I pre-weigh each package and you pay the exact amount the post office charges.   There are no handling charges.       This record will weigh 8 ounces when ready to ship.  US winners can figure out your own postage costs for US First Class or Media Mail.    I will send it through Paypal and you will get an email with the tracking number.    Overseas winners will get it sent by First Class Mail International.           (Buyers from Brazil will assume all risks for shipping to your country.)       I will send your record as soon as you pay. (same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM, Monday thru Saturday)   I will combine postage if you win more than one record.    Please wait for my invoice for all of your winnings in one package.

Serious Bidders Only :

Serious bidders only.    If you bid you must be prepared to honor your bid.     I expect payment within three days, but will gladly wait seven days, if you contact me.      I no longer accept bids from buyers that have more than two strikes against them.
