*******RARE GREEN £ LOGO TO SLEEVE REAR*******
************************NO RESERVE*********************
First press first edition, in original wafer thin picture paper sleeve, with the much rarer GREEN £ logo to rear. Vinyl is excellent.
Most of the 250,000 original paper sleeves, have the more common black £ to the rear of the sleeve (see photos). It’s unknown how many of the alternative Green £ logo were printed, but they are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
CONDITION:
VINYL: EXCELLENT.
Vinyl to both sides looks excellent. Just a few light hairlines/sleeve removal marks.
LABELS: EXCELLENT
KT embossed tax code to Penny Lane side.
A little light spindle/spider lines near centre hole to both sides.
PRESSING INFORMATION:
First press from February 1967, with wavy cut at top full-colour picture sleeve.
Black label with silver print; publishing year on label as “(P) 1967”. GRAMOPHONE perimeter print, and ‘SOLD IN UK’ etc to centre label.
KT embossed tax code.
Side 1: (Penny Lane)
Matrix: 7XCE 18416-2
KT embossed to label.
KT at 12 ‘O’ Clock in run-off.
HL at 3 ‘O’ Clock.
Side 2:
Matrix: 7XCE 18415-1
KT at 1 ‘O’ Clock

2 Mother at 10 ‘O’ Clock
SLEEVE: VG+
The rarer GREEN £ picture sleeve has two small seam splits (less than 1 inch long - close up photos show the detail), which are repairable.
Some age related light yellowing and creasing.
