A BEAUTIFUL **UNPLAYED** EXAMPLE IN OPENED SHRINKWRAP, MINT RECORD LABELS AND VINYL DISC, BEAUTIFUL FIRM PROTECTED MINT SLEEVE.
The Beatles contract with EMI expired on 6th February 1976. After this time EMI had the rights to release any of The Beatles previously released recordings without referring to The Beatles, and this Vinyl LP is one of those album releases where EMI exercised that total control.
Album Description/Condition:
This beautiful and extremely well cared for original 1980 UK Parlophone Vinyl LP is on the traditional Black and Silver Parlophone Label, with ‘2 EMI Box Logo, and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ label rim text.
Both record labels are in pristine Mint condition. beautiful record labels, with no discolouration or fading to any of the printed text, and with no signs of any play
Both sides of the vinyl surfaces are in beautiful Mint unplayed condition, stunning unmarked vinyl to both sides.
The LP play’s perfectly, the track Across The Universe is different from the 1970 Let It Be Album version, it has the Birds in Flight at the start and ending.
The LP comes in its original ‘Made in Great Britain’ Inner Bag, and is housed in it’s original Garrod & Lofthouse Picture Sleeve, the sleeve has survived in pristine Mint condition, complete with it’s original opened shrinkwrap which is still attached, all corners and edges of the sleeve are as new.
The front cover art was taken from the Alan Aldridge book The Beatles Illustrated Lyrics, and is a painting by John Patrick Byrne. Interestingly this Album Artwork was considered for The Beatles 1968White Album, and of course as we know, rejected.
A beautiful pristine example of this very well cared official 1980 collection of Beatles Ballads LP.
