Considered to be one of most INFLUENTIAL and ICONIC Albums of the 20th Century, this is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK Apple ** FIRST ISSUE STEREO** TWO Vinyl LP Set for The Beatles White Album, entitled ‘The BEATLES’.

LP Description/Condition:

The TWO First Issue STEREO Vinyl LPs are on the traditional DARK GREEN Apple label, all bearing the ‘Sold in UK Subject to resale, with ‘An E.M.I. Recording’ printed on sides 1 & 2 record labels, and ‘Mfd. In UK’ label text to all four sides of the record labels. All four labels are printed ‘Stereo’.

All four record labels in very nice Excellent Plus condition, very clean record labels, clear Black Print, showing only a few centre spindle lines on all four sides.

Both vinyl Discs are in superb clean Excellent condition, bright glossy vinyl sufaces, with only a few light superficial hairlines, there are NO scuffs.

The side 1 matrix YEX 709-2 and Side 2: YEX 710-2.
The side 3 matrix YEX 711-1 and Side 4: YEX 712-1.
Side 1 stampers: 2 GRG and Side 2: 2 GMT.
Side 3 stampers: 2 GDM and Side 4: 6 PG.
The TWO 12” Vinyl LPs come in their ORIGINAL Matt Black Die Cut Inner Bags which are in Very Good condition, one bag has seam splits, and both bags show light creasing.

….And are housed in an ORIGINAL, FULLY LAMINATED Garrod and Lofthouse GATEFOLD Sleeve. This FIRST ISSUE Sleeve is TOP OPENING and NUMBERED 0447973, printed to the lower portion of the front of the sleeve. ‘The BEATLES’ is embossed a little way up above the number. The sleeve opens out to reveal black and white portraits of each of The Beatles together with the track listing. The top right hand corner of the reverse of the sleeve is clearly printed ‘Stereo’.

The Original Fully Laminated Gatefold sleeve is in very nice Excellent condition. This is a BRIGHT WHITE, FIRM, and GLOSSY sleeve throughout, there are NO seam splits, just light age toning, nothing major, and very light record impression, and tiny bumps to the corners.

There are Four Full Colour glossy photographs – one of each Beatle, all four photos are all in Excellent condition, NO pin holes to any of the corners.

And an ORIGINAL Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric POSTER printed by Garrod and Lofthouse which is in SUPERB Excellent condition, not even a seam split to any of the folds!

Play Quality:

Having played both LPs, all FOUR sides play with superb Stereo sound quality, there are NO skips, or distortion, and very minimal background crackle.

In our opinion, interest in ORIGINAL,COMPLETE examples of this ICONIC Beatles UK WHITE ALBUM release will continue to RISE, thereby increasing the longer term INVESTMENT POTENTIAL. Impressive examples are becoming EVEN HARDER TO FIND now, they have never been easy to find anyway, - Many have been purchased by Serious Beatles collectors, RARELY to appear on the open market again. Not to be missed, this is a nice example.
