This is an interesting record.  This is the 7" Promo Copy of the British hit radio show TOP OF THE POPS on Capitol Records # P 9431.  I say this is an interesting record because The Beatles are live in the studio talking to the host of the show.  Plus the three songs that they sing are done "live" on the air meaning they are not the songs as recorded on the Lp's but done exclusively for the show.  The songs are:  Side one, Long Tall Sally, and Side Two, A Hard Days Night and Things We Said Today.  The vinyl record has  some wear and tear on it from sliding in and out of the jacket and there are a few pops and click on it but still this is Beatles History and I think any Beatles fan will find this fascinating.  This is an EP record that plays at 33 1/3 although it doesn't say that anywhere on the label.  Plus LONG TALL SALLY is Side One at it really doesn't say that anywhere either.  You have to look under the record number to find (45-x45000) to see that it is in fact Side One.  The record cover is in outstanding condition with no dings on the corners.  It comes with the original plastic cover.  The front cover is an alternate photo of the famous Butcher Cover.  The flip side of the cover is the better known YESTERDAY AND TODAY "trunk" cover with the background intact and not whited out as on the album.  The Capitol label clearly states that this is a PROMOTIONAL RECORD and is NOT FOR SALE.  Taking a close look at it I am selling this as a BOOTLEG COPY.  There are ABSOLUTELY NO MARKS on the lead out groove on either side of the record.  Capital always marked their records in the lead out grooves with a stamp that reads MASTERED BY CAPITOL.  But I still think this is a great collectors item for any Beatles fan.
