This is John, Paul, George and Ringo, The Beatles, singing "The Beatles" (AKA The White Album) on Apple SWBO-101 from 1968. There is both good news and bad news regarding this album. The good news is that the jacket (both front and back cover) is free from ring wear (see scans 1 and 4). More good news is that The Beatles is embossed and the stamped number is a low number (see scan 2). The bad news is that three inches of both top seams have neatly taped up seam splits (see scan 3). The spine and bottom seams are excellent. There is also good and bad news regarding the two records. The bad news is that there are minor surface markings on all four sides. The good news is that those markings do not affect the play of the records as all four sides play in NM condition. More good news is that track 6 on side 1 is "Bungalow Bill" and not the longer title shown on later releases. See scans 5 through 8. The photos are included but it looks like there is tape residue on the back sides as if at one time they had bee taped on a wall. The poster is missing. The matrix numbers are in order: Side 1 = SWBO-1-101-J41.  Side 2 = SWBO-2-101-J41.  Side 3 = SWBO-3-101-J40.  Side 4 = SWBO-4-101-J41. If all the news was good, I could easily ask $100. But because of the bad news, I am only asking 50% or $50.00.

Definitions:

Mint = 10 = Just like it came from the factory. May still be factory sealed. These will generally be priced close to collector value.

NM = 9 = Near Mint = Very minor surface markings that do not interfere with the audio playback. These will generally be priced at 80% to 90% of collector value.

VG++ = 7.5 = Very Good++ = The surface markings are more noticeable and may or may not affect the audio playback. Sometimes a record can look VG++ but still play in NM condition. These will generally be priced at 60% to 75% of collector value.

VG+ = 5 = Very Good+ = Now the surface markings are quite noticeable and they will generally be heard during audio playback. These will generally be priced at 40% to 50% of collector value.

Generally, I will not list records below VG+ unless it is a rare record of importance to collectors.
