The Beatles - The Beatles (White Album) Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs LP NM

There are no photos or poster because MFSL did not include them in this release. The cover is in NM condition with only a tiny bit of scuffing on the top ¼” of the right back and a tiny bit of scuffing on the top of the inside covers. The corners and spine are very clean and crisp and looks like it’s only been opened a couple of times.  It also includes the original  “certificate of Limited Warranty” and registration card. The records are in original Mobile Fidelity “rice paper” sleeves (they are not really made out of rice paper) and the exclusive Mobile Fidelity cardboard support sleeves that aid in inserting and removing the records without scuffing them on the outer cardboard sleeve. These have been imprinted with the lyrics. The records are in beautiful NM shape—I don’t use the Mint grade for anything except still sealed records.

I could go on and on about the LP,  include the song titles, and all kinds of extraneous stuff to pad out this description, but the bottom-line is if you want a copy of this on Mobile Fidelity, this is the cleanest copy you’re going to find short of one that is still sealed—and then you don’t really know what you’re getting.

Some folks in the audiophile community rag on Mobile Fidelity and say that the EQ on all their titles from the 70’s are bass heavy—supposedly that’s what the owner of the company liked. I’ve never really noticed it and I have a pretty good system. The pressings are absolutely dead quiet, and the dynamics are such that on some of the songs it’s like they’re in the room. Ringo’s drums have never sounded better. There were pressing problems with the early American and British pressings, and the later Japanese pressings always sound a little too “tubey” for me and I like tubes. The German DMM pressing is a little too bright for my tastes, although it has a lot of detail. This is the one I listen to (my other copy!), along with my UK mono copy, FWIW.
