Up for auction we have a vintage rare & collectible Beatles album set "THE COLLECTION" Original Master recordings by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab.
The auction is for a Limited edition numbered set of (14) Beatles albums as listed in original jackets and glassine envelopes, The original Artwork book w/ cert of authenticity, and the black cardboard case which has some moisture damage as shown.
The numbered Certificate of authenticity #14,214 is included in the color "Artbook" which depicts the album covers and the amazing information about each album. The jackets of each album have a reproduction of the information from the recording sessions. I am the original owner of this set and i do not believe the individual albums have ever been played.
I will try my best to describe the item. The set has been stored for the better part of 35 years. Somewhere along the way, the closet that it was stored in had a water leak on the carpet from an A/C drain. The box/covering case suffered damage to outer cardboard as can be seen in pictures. The good part is the Albums rest inside a box within a box, a sturdy hard plastic tray that protected the albums themselves from any apparent damage. The last Album #14, the cardboard jacket shows a very light moisture stain. The Albums appear to never have been opened or played. The manufacturer took great steps to protect the vinyl discs themselves. The albums rest inside of the printed outer jacket and then inside "another" cardboard sleeve and finally are encased in a glassine envelope. The Artbooks back cover and inside page shows signs of moisture staining. Other than the above moisture damages described (which appear to be cosmetic only) all of the information and album details are intact. No foul odor what so ever!! Any questions please ask.
