The main sleeve is in very good+ condition, the double album gatefold sleeve has a glossy laminate. On the front it has an embossed Beatles logo and a unique individual serial number no. 0169048. To the rear there is no printed text. The spine is in very good condition, there is the normal, slightly flaky laminate. The spine reads The Beatles - Stereo PCS 7067 - 8 / Mono PMC 7067 - 8. There's some slight discolouring and also some light ring wear to the sleeve too. There are no splits, tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

Two original apple black inner paper sleeves are present, there's some creasing to the corners and also there's a small tear on one of the corners. The sleeves are also free from any repairs, sellotape, stickers or sticker reside.

The poster is the original poster and is in good clean condition, it has some splitting to the folds but it's still fully intact.

The photos are the original four photos and are in excellent condition. The photos are made from thick card.

The vinyl is in very good+ condition. There's some light surface marks but I had to take the record to the window and look at it side on to be able to see them though, they weren't visible under the normal light in my living room. I have played the records through and noticed no pops or clicks in the audio. Both records sound really nice.

The White Album was released on November 22, 1968 in the U.K. and three days later in the U.S. It was the first Beatles album to be released on the band’s own Apple label and also the first album they released in the U.K. following the death of their manager Brian Epstein. This differed in the U.S. since Magical Mystery Tour was issued as an album after Brian’s death, whereas it was issued as a double EP in the U.K.

The Beatles is the ninth official album by English rock group the Beatles, a double album released in 1968. It is also commonly known as "The White Album", as it has no graphics or text other than the band's name embossed (and, on the early LP and CD releases, a serial number) on its plain white sleeve.

The album was written and recorded during a period of turmoil for the group, after visiting the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in India and having a particularly productive songwriting session in early 1968. Returning to the studio, the group recorded from May to October 1968, only to have conflict and dissent drive the group members apart. Ringo Starr quit the band for a brief time, leaving Paul McCartney to play drums on two tracks. Many of the songs were "solo" recordings, or at least by less than the full group, as each individual member began to explore his own talent.

Upon its release in November 1968, the album received mixed reviews from music critics, who criticized its satirical songs as unimportant and apolitical amid a turbulent political and social climate. However, it reached number 1 on the charts in both the United Kingdom and the United States. The album has sold over 20 million[citation needed] copies worldwide and has since been viewed by critics as one of the greatest albums of all time.
