Description

In this auction are 1 original Beatles Capitol Picture Sleeve and 1 original Beatles Capitol orange-yellow swirl label 45 RPM record.

Here are the details:

·       “TICKET TO RIDE”  b/w “YES IT IS” by The Beatles

·       This is Capitol Records 5407.

·       This record was released April 19, 1965.

·       The PICTURE SLEEVE is in VG+ CONDITION. There is a price stamp on the “S” in “BEATLES” on the “Yes It Is” side (A-side). There is just a very tiny hint of ring wear on this sleeve, not significant at all and hardly mentionable. (You’ll have to look hard to see it.) There is a light corner crease on John on the B-side (not very noticeable) and in the same corner on Paul on the A-side (which can be seen more due to his dark suit). There is slight wear like very small and very light folds/creases (signs of handling) at the top opening of the sleeve where there is also a very tiny (maybe 1/16th of an inch) tear.

·       There are NO SEAM SPLITS and NO WRITING on this sleeve. The IMAGES on the sleeve are NICE and CLEAN. NOTE: The light areas you may see at the bottom of the sleeve is caused by reflection from the flash.

·       This is a straight-cut (East Coast) sleeve. It is guaranteed original, not a counterfeit. The image on the sleeve and “Printed in the U.S.A.” are sharp, not blurry at all.

·       The VINYL is in VERY STRONG VG+ CONDITION (not far from Near Mint). The vinyl was pressed at Capitol’s Los Angeles plant.

·       This is also a first or otherwise early pressing, because both labels state:

From the United Artists Release “Eight Arms To Hold You” This was the original or working title of the motion picture that was to become “HELP!

·       This picture sleeve has always been less-common than many other Beatles sleeves and has become one of the more hard-to-find sleeves these days in decent condition.
