THE BEATLES FAN CLUB - CHRISTMAS RECORD 1964 - STORED IN THE ORIGINAL CARD ENVELOPE FOR NEARLY 50 YEARS!!!
This thin flexi-disc, given away free to fan club members, is in remarkable condition. The fragile playing surface is unmarked and has no crease lines or splits. There are no scuffs, marks or scratches on the playing surface which looks in pristine condition. It contains christmas messages from each of the 'Fab Four' thanking the fans for their support over the year ... not surprisingly it has an element of goon-type humour about it.
Audio quality is quite superb with very little surface noise usually associated with this type of record. This disc has been very rarely played which is the reason that it is in such good condition. The label is unmarked and was produced by Lyntone Recordings exclusively for the Parlophone Label and marked LYN 757.
I reckon that it would be very difficult to to find a better example.
Remember that this disc was marked "Not for Sale" and issued only to Fan Club Members Free of Charge.
Not only that but you also get the original FULL package including the Fan Club News Letter No 4 with the Fab Four's signatures on the front page.
The record sleeve is fully intact, with sharp corners and no splits and hardly any signs of age browning, front or back.
Apart from some slight discoloured glue residue on the back of the cardboard sleeve this is in remarkable condition due to the years that it has been safely stored - in the original envelope which is franked with the date 20th December 1964 and stamped. The envelope itself could well be a collector's item and is included in the sale.
